anyone have apartment hunting advice for someone who’s never done it before

they usually gather in dimly lit but spacious and open forest areas, they tend to move around at night so you might have better luck defeating one during the day. ranged weapons are mostly useless because they cant pierce the apartments extremely thick outer shell.
