You know, if your AU calls for high-school-type shenanigans, but also lots of smutty scenes, it doesn’t take a whole lot of effort to make it a community college AU rather than a high school AU. Either way you’re looking at a publicly funded institution with a crappy sports team whose student body is drawn primarily from the local community and mostly still live with their parents, so the relevant tropes frequently cross over – one of them just has an age of enrollment that’s old enough to avoid any sticky ethical conundrums when the trousers start coming off.
