what if you were to create a conscious robot and you’re like “hey I’ll let you pick whatever physical form you want, you’re my child and I support you, I do not wish to objectify you by imposing my own will upon your identity!”

but your robot comes back with a picture of a real big tiddy anime girl

“….this is. specifically what I was trying to avoid.”

… then love and support your new animu daughter?

I mean, yes, obviously, but first you have the responsibility to figure out what about “big tiddy anime girl” appeals to her and to explain how that form will affect how she is perceived and treated by other people. Give social context for the designs she is considering so that she can make an informed decision that reflects her desires. And… maybe make sure she knows about dinosaurs, and that ‘dinosaur robot’ is an option available to her… just in case she’d like to reconsider…

What if she wants detachable bomb tiddies to go with the dinosaur form

I sit her down and we have a very serious talk why she feels the need to be armed with extremely destructive weaponry. I am happy to outfit her with self-defense mechanisms, like taser eyes, bullet-proof plating, and maybe a multitool wrist with knife attachments, but if she’s been exposed to KILL ALL HUMANS robo-extremist propaganda, I want to nip that in the bud and like. Take her on a camping trip and try to instill a sense of the intrinsic value of life in all its incarnations.

If she really wants to be a combat droid, I’ll support her, but I’ll try to steer her away from becoming a soldier and towards auditioning for Battlebots. It might not be the life I envisioned for her, but I’ll be in the audience cheering her on and set aside a savings account to pay for repairs.
