on another note i just got one of my top long time botany questions answered and im living

so it turns out that the bumpy thingies on young wood and trees??

those are called lenticels, and they help the cells in the big baby’s trunk/wood to breathe (much like stomata in the leaves but bigger and they don’t open and close)!!! 

i am thrilled at this discovery honestly i literally always wondered what those were
