Some guy today mentioned he was in a band to me and I watched him get visibly uncomfortable when I didn’t ask him anything about it. He kept trying to bring the conversation around to his band and I wasn’t budging.

POWER MOVE: Complete and utter disinterest in men’s obsession with their own mediocrity

Lmao I’ve gotten so many messages about this post calling me a bitch so let me clarify:

It was during class and we were supposed to be talking about Karl Marx. This dude hasn’t been in class in weeks and wants to talk about his band instead of the reading, cuz he hasn’t done the reading or attended any lectures. I’m not wasting a cent of my tuition indulging some lazy asshole lol

Is there anyway you can start out on an entry level position in the field youre interested in, to get a feel for it? For example, if you’re considering being a biologist, you could start as a scientific aid for fish and wildlife before you decide to get all the schooling

while i appreciate this a lot, part of the issue is that i don’t know what i want to do? like sometimes i’m like “well i liked being an ra in college maybe i should do that” but did i like it enough to spend two years and who knows how much money getting a masters in student affairs? plus my mom is constantly trying to help but it’s just her going “you’d be a good physician assistant. have you looked into that? hey you’d be a good realtor. have you thought about going into marketing? what about human resources?” and so now i’m just sadly looking for any job that’ll give me health insurance and the ability to be self sufficient while i hope that eventually i figure out what i want to do
