8: Talk about the thing you are most proud of.
i was an ra for three years in college and a ta for one semester and i had like 200 kids total who i watched over and helped teach and i’m just really proud of all of them because of how much they grew even if i only knew them for a semester or a year. i’m friends with some of them on facebook or snapchat and i’m glad that i still get to be a bit a part of their lives because i think of them as my kids and i really appreciate them and some of them are graduating soon and some have become ras themselves and some stopped doing college because it wasn’t the right thing for them and i’m just very proud of all of my kids. they’re very good.
14: Talk about a vacation.
we always used to joke that we didn’t know how to take a vacation because every trip we ever went on was to visit family whereas when we heard other people talking about vacations it was to a resort or somewhere where you just lay around and have fun, instead of getting into shenanigans with your cousins. but the two vacations we did go on were a trip to disneyland, and one to the grand canyon. the one to disneyland was fun and we stayed in a disney hotel and were very impressed that they had fun tv channels like, wait for it, the disney channel. i was very little, definitely under ten. anyway, we did a park each day and then one day we were gonna go to the animal kingdom and my dad woke us up at the usual time and was like okay let’s go, and all three of us kids threw a fit so my mom stayed with us while we played in the pool and lazed about all day and my dad went to animal kingdom by himself. the vacation to the grand canyon was with another family that i grew up with. we did a road trip in two cars and would swap kids out at rest stops. it was a very eventful trip because both my siblings and mom got sun poisoning and rashes from the grass at the hotel and couldn’t go in the hot tub. also andrea fell in a prickly pear and also could not go in the hot tub. i was also very young on this trip and that’s pretty much all i remember.
16: Talk about the best party you’ve ever been to.
uhhhh probably last year’s new years party. it’s a bunch of band kids i went to high school with and we all just hang out somewhere usually in someone’s parent’s basement (last year it was tommy’s) and we just hung out and played original super smash brothers for the n64 and did a lot of yelling about the game. we also played the worst multiplayer ping pong game of all time which i liked watching because i was very bad at it. we played a couple rounds of kings cup (i was driving home so i played with water) but i’m pretty sure for one of them the cup got so gross we didn’t make anyone drink it. we played kiss or slap later which is just as fun as you hope it’ll be, then it turned into truth or dare and then just truth, because nobody wanted to get up anymore. everyone who was drunk was a sweet drunk and kept telling everyone else how lovely they were. at some point it hit midnight but we missed the ball drop like we do every year. i kissed everyone who wanted a kiss for new years and forgot that i’d brought a bag of hershey’s kisses so everyone could have a new years kiss. i drove home at like 2am and took a rather drunk scott to his house on the way. band kid new years is probably my favorite holiday and the only one i’d want to schedule around for work. as it is, we’re doing it at nick’s down by denver this year and i work at noon the next day so i’d have to leave very early
