One of the best parts in Sky High that I don’t see referenced enough is that the protagonist’s mom had the power of flight and his dad had super-strength so they had to go into battle like this
uhh not to be dramatic and old but when are we gonna get a solo sky high superhero film about warren peace, it’s 13 years overdue
anyways this is warren peace played by steven strait, from the 2005 film “sky high” which is about a school for teenagers with superhuman powers. he has pyrokinetic powers that are similar to that of johnny storm’s from marvel, he can create fire and weaponize it, and even just create heat without flame to burn people.
in the beginning of the film he’s very closed off and angry and you’re expected to think he’s a bad guy as he’s very short-tempered, is very mysterious, and doesn’t get along with the main character will stronghold bc their fathers were rivals. but throughout the film you learn that he only closes himself off bc everybody judges him for his father being a supervillain and his mother being a superhero. and he is actually is a sweet, sensitive, and insightful person who wants good things for his peers and wants to be a hero. also his name is a pun.
